Nate Preuss joined Wintrust Life Finance in 2023 as Vice President- Business Development. Nate excels at implementing advanced strategies for wealth transfer, estate and business planning, deferred compensation, and employee retention planning. Prior to joining Wintrust, Nate has spent over fifteen years in the financial services industry and has held roles wholesaling multiple product lines, working on carrier advanced planning teams, personal financial planning, and most recently serving as the Head of Life Insurance Strategies for a brokerage general agency.

Nate received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and International Business from Minnesota State University, Mankato. In addition, he has his Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Advisor for Senior Living, and Retirement Income Certified Professional designations from the American College. He also has his series 6 and 63 license.

Nate lives in St.Paul, Minnesota with his wife Jamie and dog Biscotti. When he’s not working he likes to go fishing for trophy muskies and spending time on the St. Croix river with friends and family.
