Alex Cano is the CEO of Wintrust Life Finance, formerly FIRST Insurance Funding Life Division. He joined the organization in 2009 upon FIRST Insurance Funding’s acquisition of the life insurance premium finance portfolio of AIG Credit. Prior to the acquisition, Alex was the executive vice president of AIG Credit, in charge of its Life Finance Division and previously served as AIG Credit’s general counsel. He began his career as an associate attorney at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York and is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Harvard College.

As the Eastern Region Vice President for Wintrust Life Finance, Mark has closed over $514,351,000 of initial life insurance premiums since 2010.  He works with the top life insurance professionals and Regional Vice Presidents of the life insurance carriers and is responsible for educating and promoting the unique loan designs that Wintrust Life Finance offers.  Prior to joining Wintrust Life Finance, Mark was a Relationship Manager for Franklin Templeton Investments.  During his tenure, he worked with the broker/dealer firms within the Financial Advisor Channel and maintained relationships to support all aspects of Franklin Templeton’s mutual fund products, processing and technologies, along with managing projects, clients and staff.  Mark created a marketing campaign to launch AdvisorCentral, a joint venture between Franklin Templeton, Putnam Investments, Fidelity Investments and PFPC, where he eventually became the National Accounts Executive.

Mark holds a bachelors degree in Economics from Rowan University along with Chartered Life Underwriter & Chartered Financial Consultant designations from The American College.  He lives in New Jersey with his wife and three children.


Amanda Z. Eldridge, CLU, ChFC

Amanda Z. Eldridge, CLU, ChFC joined Wintrust Life Finance in September of 2015, developing premium finance business and helping firms source additional opportunities with their clients across the Southwest. Prior to joining Wintrust Life, she spent 11 years with National Financial Partners (NFP) in various roles, but a primary focus for the last eight years on life insurance premium finance. During that time, Amanda developed substantial knowledge of the marketplace, including design, product, and consultation. She also spent three years as an actuary with Mercer Consulting. Amanda obtained a degree in mathematics and actuarial science from the University of Texas, and holds Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from the American College.


Patrice R. Louis

Patrice R. Louis serves as vice president of business development at Wintrust Life Finance for the Central and Northwest regions. Patrice is primarily responsible for growing and preserving relationships in high net worth and institutional advisory channels. Since 2014, Patrice has sourced more than $325 million of initial premium finance transactions. Previously, Patrice served in the credit and operations unit at First Insurance Funding, managing underwriting, deal execution, and portfolio administration.

Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Patrice served as an analyst at a Chicago-area boutique insurance and wealth advisory practice and also served as an investment analyst at a private investment fund based in Washington D.C.

Patrice received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Patrice is active in his hometown of Chicago, serving on the associate board of City Year Chicago, the Chairmen’s Advisory Council for the Big Shoulders Fund, the Tolton Society Endowment at St. Ignatius College Prep, and as a member of the Economic Club of Chicago.
